We picked up the stander for Billy Boy. Yesterday was the first time he tried it out, a physical and occupational therapists were there to help us out along with the vendor. We stood him up and placed him in front of a mirror. (They told us the first time a patient stands up after being in bed for so long, they can pass out.) Billy Boy did really well. At the end of 15 minutes he turned a little pale so we lowered him. He hadn't eaten since early morning since we had Hyperbarics in the morning, so I wasn't too worried.
Today we stood him up again at home. This time he had eaten first. Once again, he did really well and even seems to enjoy it. This will be really good for him in so many ways. It will help with circulation, bone loss, his digestion, keeping his hips in place, balance, the list goes on and on. We are all so proud of him!

How awesome! It was great to see you out shopping, we weren't sure you'd remember us. It is so great to see him making so much progress.

This is wonderful!! Billy Boy looks great and is lucky to have such supportive parents & sister as well as family & friends. I have not commented before, but have been watching Billy Boy's progress through your site. Thank you for sharing your good times and bad. We pray for all of you often.
